Meet the Artist Behind After Hours
Dov Sandoval prints New York at 2am, in two colours, in a basement in Gowanus.

The After Hours studio is a rented corner of a shared basement with a four-colour press, a drying rack that doubles as a coat hook, and a radio permanently tuned to the same jazz station.
Dov pulls one edition a quarter. The pace is deliberate: enough time to find the corner, photograph it across a few nights, separate the colours, and pull a run without rushing the registration.
I'm not making a poster of New York. I'm making a poster of one corner, on one night, for a hundred and forty people.
"Quarterly means I never mail something I'm embarrassed by," he says. "Monthly would break me and members would feel it."
Editions run between 100 and 150. When they're gone they're gone; there are no reprints, and the club members get theirs first.
